maternity rocking chair
I am giving birth to a baby boy in 2 months and wanted a list of things I need. I live in Hawaii.?
1. Rocking Chair
2. Electric Breast Pump (What brand should I get?)
3. Maternity Bra?
4. Body Wash/Shampoo? (What Kind?)
5. Bath Tub (What Kind?)
6. Newborn Pacifiers (What Kind?)

you’re getting ready for baby only now?
1. you dont NEED a rocking chair. i have one, and i hardly use it when i breast feed.
2. Medela is the best. its pricey, but it has great suction and can last for years. its definitly worth the money
3. i bought my maternity bras at target. but motherhood maternity has good ones too. what island do you live on? if you live on oahu, there is a motherhood store at waikele and pearlridge mall
4. you cant go wrong with Johnson&Johnson
5. doesnt matter what kind of bathtub… but i wouldnt spend a bunch of money on those fancy ones. you’ll only use it for 1-2 years.
6. It depends on your baby. my son hates pacifiers, he screams if i try to give him one. i had a friend who’s husband went to all diff kinds of stores buying diff kinds of pacifiers cuz their son was very picky. the hospital will send you home with a free one anyway, so you can just start with that.
7. you will also need…
- lots of onesies. i wouldnt buy too many outfits cuz they are hard to change out of when baby needs a diaper change. and it gets really hot here in hawaii so onesies are best.
- cloth diapers to use a burp cloths. you can get these at walmart
- baby thermometer
- bulb syringe
- hooded towels
- washcloths
- scratch mittens
- socks
- recieving blankets
- carseat and stroller
- baby nail clipper, and emery boards
- bottles with a wide nipple [they mimic the breast. im guessing you're breastfeeding if you need the pump]
- dont forget breast pads. i love the lansinoh brand. you can get them at walmart or target.
- i’ve found my microwavable bottle sterilizer very useful. i got that at walmart.
