maternity pay in canada

When did you go on Maternity leave?
I am very early (about 2 months) into my second pregnancy. With my daughter I didn’t work (as I didn’t need to cause my husband was making good money) but with this baby I work part time. I have been nothing but sick from the start of this pregnancy and worry if it continues I will have to stop working. I live in Canada and was wondering how early other Mommy’s took their Maternity leave, and also wondering if it was hard to get the Maternity pay…….and if they do reach backs to my previous jobs.

with my son, I was sick also but I worked up to my due date. I felt lazy and did not want to get out of bed, but I forced myself to do it
