maternity leave letters samples

Asking for annual and maternity leave in one letter.?

Hi!

Can any one help me by giving me a sample letter to write to my boss regarding taking my one month annual leave from 05th June 2009 to 10th July 2009 and also ask for three months maternity leave from there since my due date is expected from 11th July 2009 to 17th July not sure.

I think the best idea is to write two seperate letters. The laws that govern these leave types are different. You’d just be better off covering your back. There’s nothing wrong with delivering the letters at the same time to your boss and explaining what it is you’re asking for, it’s just that legally it’s always better to be safe than sorry, for both you and your company.
