maternity coverage california
So what happens when you find out your pregnant but don’t have maternity insurance coverage?
Hi, My husband and I found out we were pregnant in February, the pregnancy was unexpected, even though we did use contraceptives (birth control pills). Unfortunately, my health insurance cut me out b/c I didn’t have maternity coverage prior to my pregnancy. So what do we do? We just moved to california about 1 month ago, and we both don’t work yet, so there is no solid income flowing in. We could try to apply for medi-cal, however, prior to moving we both made very good money in real estate in another state. Will our income from last year and the very beginning of this year affect the outcome of us getting aprooved for medi-cal? How does that work? Does anyone know of how state medical help works and how they figure out an applicants eligibility? Please help!
Apply for MediCal. They should be able to help you since neither of you are currently making money then they should be able to help you. They go by your surrent income not your past!
