Help! Pregnant! Do I have to wear the Uniform?
I’ve worked as a bartender at the same business for almost 2 years and recently they bought work shirts for all the employees. They are long sleeved black turtle necks. They never asked what we would be comfortable in or what size we wanted. The size they bought me worked at first. But now into almost my 7th month, it is starting to be too short. So anytime I lift up my arms my stomach is exposed. I have a feeling that they might just order me a size bigger which probably won’t be any longer.
I have perfectly nice and appropriete maternity shirts that cover my stomach and I feel comfortable in. Should they provide me with a maternity version of the shirt, or can I start wearing my own maternity clothing? Please help. I need serious answers! Thanks!
wear ur own clothes! u will be much more comfortable. tell ur boss that as a bartender, u feel uncomfortable with ur stomach showing to all of ur customers. plus, ur body temp rises when ur pregnant so why would u wanna wear a turtleneck? i know i wouldnt. ur boss should be understanding about ur situation and ur desire to wear ur own shirts. if not, tell him to please order u a shirt that will fit u. not a size bigger, but yeah a maternity version. and maybe not a turtleneck if ur not comfortable in it.
