Graco Pack And Play Changing

Do you really use a Pack n Play/ Play yard?
I just had my baby shower and I got a Graco Pack n Play, basic play yard. I didn’t register for one and never really considered getting one, but after looking at them I think I would like to exchange it for one of the fancier Graco ones with the changing stations and mobiles on them.
Do you have a Pack n Play or play yard? Do you use it? Do I even need one?
Thanks!
Trust me on this, before the baby is born we always feel like going for the ‘fully-featured-extra-sophisticated’ stuff: bottles, clothes, crib, playpen… we go broke on making ourselves happy.
Then comes the baby, his/her needs and reality sink in and we replace all of that fancy stuff by basic safe items he/she likes and you actually find use for.
About playpens, I have the one you do and it’s just great for our son. It’s his own living room where there is room to safely play, roll over, sit up and someday stand up. It’s also the only single place where I feel he’s safe and he likes being in… so mommy can pee without a meltdown happening.
The other fancy ones that are shaped like a bed with all the frills are from my point of view less roomy for him to play in and as for the bassinet and changing table… well to put it nicely I’d rather use my couch if I really have to
Sleep as much as you can now, enjoy some alone time with your partner cause those two will be gone forever soon LOL… and then enjoy your baby in his ‘basic’ but great playpen
Take care
